Ashwell Cottage

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

28.06.20 – As you know, we took the decision to close Ashwell Cottage back in March 2020 just prior to the full lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  We have now reviewed the situation and we are planning to re-open the cottage for guests from mid-September 2020 onwards. In order to do this, we will be operating in a somewhat different manner.

We will be accepting bookings on an alternate week on/week off basis so that there will be a full 7 days between guests departing and arriving and 3 plus days between guests arriving/departing and our cleaner performing the changeover. We believe this will protect both our cleaner and our guests as much as is reasonably practicable, however this will mean that there will be reduced capacity for guests to stay at Ashwell Cottage while we continue to operate this way.  We will be prioritising guests who had their original booking cancelled and key workers so we hope you will understand if we are not initially able to accommodate your preferred dates to stay.

We expect to continue to operate in this manner until there is a significant change in the status of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as the availability of a vaccine that has been proven to be effective against the virus and has become widely available in the UK. We accept that this may mean operating at reduced capacity for some considerable time ahead.

We hope you understand why we have taken these decisions and we hope that you will continue to enjoy staying at Ashwell Cottage.
